Musei d'estate (Museums in Summer)
A summer dedicated to the great classics of literature, theatre, music, and art, with out of hours openings and night time guided visits to the museums of the capital.
Three months of literature, theatre, music, and art in the main cultural spaces of the capital, museums and archaeological sites, which will remain open for exceptional guided evening and night time visits.
Theatre, expressive reading, recitals, poetry, installations, concerts of classical and chamber music will enter the capital triumphantly in the summer period, from the morning to the late evening, a multiplicity of initiatives which will allow the public to discover and rediscover some of the most beautiful cultural locations in Rome in unusual ways and times.
After the great success last April of the similar initiative Rome surprises you at Easter, the Office of Cultural Politics of the City of Rome and Zètema Cultural Project promote for the summer of 2007, the new event “ Museums of Summer. When art becomes theatre”, which will bring important theatrical events to the major museum and cultural spaces of the city, in a systematic and wide-ranging way, creating in this way an extraordinary relationship between places of art and theatre and an equally exceptional method of use of space on the part of the public.
