Six video installations by six contemporary Israeli artists on the Shoa

The museums involved are:

- Centrale Montemartini
Boaz Arad, The Nazi Hunters Room, 2007
An installation displaying a silicone rug with the features of Adolf Hitler.

- Museo dell'Ara Pacis
Vardi Kahana, Three Sisters, Tel Aviv, 1992
A snapshot depicting the artist’s mother and aunts. The three women are showing their left forearms tattooed with consecutive numbers: A-7760, A-7761, A-7762 – tragic signs that become part of their identity as well as a tangible affirmation of their kinship.

Museo di Roma Palazzo Braschi
Dani Karavan, Man walking on railways, Düsseldorf,1989
Done by the artist during the installation created for Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Dusseldorf (8 July – 27 August 1989), the video is a montage of sequences in which the image of a man appears as he walks down the tracks until disappearing in the distance.

- Museo di Roma in Trastevere
Simcha Shirman, Whose Spoon Is It? S.S. 470430-110927, 2011
The artist presents us with a spoon in its very essence. The grooves it bears tell us it has been used, but we do not know its history because it is shown to us on a chopping board, decontextualized from any reference to its environment

- Galleria d'Arte Moderna
Micha Ullman, Seconda Casa (Gerusalemme – Roma), 2004
A small-sized monument placed on a sidewalk at Piazza di Monte Savello in Rome. Done on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day as stated by the adjacent plaque (“Micha Ullman ‘Seconda Casa Gerusalemme-Roma’ Giornata della Memoria 27 gennaio 2004”), the work depicts two stylized houses in a sort of hourglass carved into the sidewalk.

- Museo di scultura antica Giovanni Barracco
Maya Zack, Counterlight, 2016
The central figure in the video is a woman shown as she calculates, reads, and cuts out words and images, stitching back together a sequence of events that brought horror into the heart of cultured Europe.
